Welcome Parents
As a parent, sending your child to college can be an overwhelming experience. There are many worries about how they will perform academically, socially, and spiritually. The Baptist Collegiate Ministries wants to help your student grow into a fully developed follower of Jesus Christ. At the BCM we provide many opportunities for students to grow spiritually and take on leadership in the ministry. Each year we have a student leadership team that assists in planning and implementing the ministries of the BCM. Allowing students to be an active part of the work of the BCM is training each of our members to be the future leaders of our communities and churches. We hope that you encourage your child to come and be part of the BCM and contact with any questions the BCM staff could answer.
A Word for Parents
After 25 Years of serving as a BCM Director on several campuses, I have finally had the opportunity to experience the impact of Baptist Collegiate Ministry as a parent. My oldest son and daughter are both involved in BCM’s in our state and have had an incredible experience. From vision expanding experiences through a mission trip to New York to daily relationships with staff and others students they have been blessed. As a parent, what encourages me most is the type of guidance and discipleship my kids receive through the BCM ministry. Both have found churches in the cities they love. Both have weekly small groups and enjoy the large group worship experiences. I want to take this opportunity to thank Louisiana Baptist for investing in our future through Baptist Collegiate Ministry!
